Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Brandy and I understand that leaving your friend with fur in the care of someone you don't know can be stressful and that is why I pride myself in providing a safe, clean, and fun environment for them in the comfort of my home. Choosing home-based care for your friend with fur allows for a more tailored pet care experience and I believe that it can reduce the anxiety and stress that some may feel at a larger kennel or warehouse style daycare/boarding facility. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac in Elkridge. My husband and two sons (10 & 14) also share in my love for animals and are very much a part of their care during their stay, especially when it comes to one-on-one time for cuddles, play and attention. Our home is located close to major roadways 95, 895, 195, 100 and Route 1. We are just 10 minutes from the BWI airport, Dorsey Marc and the Halethorpe Amtrak. So, wherever your travels may take you, I am here to care for your friend with fur. I am certified by the American Red Cross in Cat and Dog First Aid and have a lifetime full of experience caring for animals.
Reviews
We felt comfortable after meeting with Brandy to discuss boarding our dog. She's had a lot of experience in caring for dogs, and clearly enjoys spending time with them. We were glad that our dog felt right at home with them, and he was treated like family during his stay.
Truly the absolute best! My pup had the best time and Brandy and her husband were incredible.
Fantastic care and very friendly. We felt good knowing our Ruby was in good hands. Highly recommend and will definitely book again. Than you!
Fantastic sitter! Was able to watch Finn on short notice and sent updates with some nice pics!

I hope to have the opportunity to provide your Fur Friend with the best care possible. I know leaving your FurFriend can be hard but trust that they will receive the best care possible when they are with me. I always reach out within hours of drop-off to let you know how they are acclimating to their new surroundings and give you a first night update following their first overnight. I will send photo and/or video updates throughout their entire stay. My love for animals is one of a kind!

Information Brandy V. would like to know about your pet
If your pet needs any special accommodations I am happy to work with you to meet those. I have experience with elderly dogs, dogs who receive medication, IV fluids, etc.
A typical day
A typical day usually starts with a bathroom break and some outside yard time followed by breakfast. After breakfast and some play, we go back out for a second bathroom break. Throughout the day we take bathroom breaks roughly every 3 hours or as needed and engage in enrichment activities, such as fetch, neighborhood watch (birds and other animal passerby’s), tug-of-war, brain puzzles and on warm summer days we pull out the pool and cool off! Occasionally, we also enjoy walks around the neighborhood and trips to the park. We are located just minutes from Belmont, the Trolly Trail in Oella, Old Ellicott City and Patapsco State Park. Patapsco is always good for the more adventurous pup who likes to take a hike through the dirt trails of the park and have a quick splash in the water at our favorite spot on the trail - Cascade Falls. Belmont, the Trolly Trail and Old Ellicott City are places we enjoy when we are looking for a more leisurely stroll.

Availability
When your pet is in my care, I am committed to keeping them safe. My home is located at the back of a cul-de-sac, off of the main roads, with a fenced yard. We always exit through one of the rear facing doors into the fenced area and they are never left in the fenced area or anywhere outside unattended. In the event that I am hosting multiple dogs, I am careful with introductions. These happen outside in the yard and generally start leashed unless it has been communicated to me that this can trigger aggression. Once I get a sense of how things are going I will remove the leash and keep a watchful eye on body language. I use an air horn and keep it on hand during introductions. This acts as an aversive to dogs and when sounded sounded it stops any unwanted behavior. I currently work from home on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday I am in the office and work locally which allows me to come home for a mid-day check-in and potty break.
