Welcoming pets of all life stages!
Pet care experience
Hello! I am Brandy and I would love the opportunity to care for your pets while you're away. I love animals, especially dogs, and I've had dogs, cats, and caged animals since I was 9. My first furry friend was Sunny, my toy poodle, and he lived until 2020 at 16.5 years old so I have about 5 years or so experience with senior dogs, including medication administration and advanced care. My boyfriend and I have 2 shih-tzu's who are also litter mates: Storm and Havok. They're 2.5 years old and they love meeting new friends. Storm is very toy driven. She loves playing and will always bring you a toy to throw. She's pretty quiet but loves meeting new people. Havok is my little suck who is more timid and vocal but he loves cuddles, food, and trying to steal the toys from Storm. While yappy, they're good dogs! We try to keep routine as best as we can. Our dogs usually get walks in the mornings before work so they can rest during the day while we're away. They're fed twice a day and have leisure to go outside as they please - we have a doggie door. When I'm not home, we cover the dog door and I come home during the weekdays to let them out. Of course, any dog in my care will be supervised outdoors! We live in a house in the east end of Regina with a fully fenced back yard and plenty of parks to walk. We are homebodies who like to stay home rather than go out but we enjoy nature and getting outside on nice days. If you're interested in learning more, please send me a message and I'll be happy to give you further information.
Reviews
Brandy was awesome! She arrived on time, was very polite and friendly, and the three dogs took to her immediately. She was great with all the dogs and took good care of them which allowed us to have a worry-free evening. Brandy is such a nice person, a terrific dog-sitter, and we would have her back in a minute! Thanks, Brandy!
Brandy seemed comfortable, at ease and knowledgeable with our dogs, in turn they were comfortable with her. She was very responsive and provided us with report on each visit in a timely manner. We would use her service again??
Brandy was awesome with my senior dog, she really understood the care of a senior dog, you could tell her genuine love of dogs and caring personality.
Brandy was great! Made my Blue feel welcome and comfortable and sent updates while I was away to make ME feel comfortable. Thanks!

Jonathan and I are both homebodies so we're usually at home to watch over your pets. Our back yard is fully fenced and we ensure there is supervision whenever were outside. I don't do off leash because I'm not confident that a dog will recall with a stranger such as myself so if we go for walks I will have your pet on leash at all times!

Information Brandy M. would like to know about your pet
If I'm walking your dog or dropping in for a visit: 1) How are they with strange humans and pets? 2) Are they reactive while on leash? (Ie. Pullers, lungers, escape artists) 3) Are they fixed? Should I be concerned about aggression, females in heat, etc.? If I'm having your pet in my home: 1) How well does your pet get along with other animals? With two small dogs at home, I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or aggressive towards one another. 2) Is your pet fixed? Both of my dogs are fixed but we are not able to care for unfixed males or females in heat in our home right now. 3) What routines are they used to? With geriatric doggie care experience I know it can be really important to keep to routine as best as we can. Dogs are creatures of habit so if I can feed your dog at the same time, or walk them at the usual time, then I can make sure they stay comfortable while in my care. 4) What are their usual sleeping arrangements? My dogs sleep in their kennels at night, it's where they feel most comfortable. We don't like to have the dogs sleep on the bed at night, but if that is what they're used to then I can make sure they are given a warm and comfy area to sleep in during their stay.
A typical day
I live in the East end of Regina which has plenty of walking paths, so we can definitely go for a walk, weather permitting. There are also dog runs in the summer we can take your dog to run off leash. Or we can even play in the back yard- my dogs love fetch and tug of war. If your pet is older and can't handle a lot of exercise, we're definitely happy sitting on the couch watching some TV with cuddles.

Availability
I do work full time Monday - Friday so weekends and evenings are the easiest for me to care for your pets. However, I do make sure to come home and check on my dogs over lunch so if that's something you're comfortable with I'd be happy to work with you! Weekends I'm available to care for your pets any time, whether that's boarding, drop in visits, or walks.
