Have you ever hoped for a sitter that is able to read your dog to find out what they want, need, and feel at that moment? Look no further, because I could put any animal-communicating Disney princess to shame! Years of owning a dog: 20 ish Volunteering: • (3) years with Southern Siberian Rescue (SSR) grooming, playing with, walking, transporting, and gently showing them that they can trust humans again What helps me bond with dogs: • Patience that I use to understand and to take whatever time is needed to make your pup feel safe and secure (it took me 2 hours to have a stubborn husky going from being scared of cars to enjoying their first car ride) • Empathy: to learn and understand YOUR dog’s needs in the moment and in the near future (I helped a stranger figure out why their dog was being aggressive— their dog was fear-reacting to specific situations) • Energy: I will match a dog’s energy to ensure they get the physical stimulation they need which reduces unwanted behavior and serves as a method of emotional bonding with the dog • Knowledge: I have had a lifelong niche interest in learning about different breed’s temperament and needs. Learning about many different breeds also helps me apply the knowledge to bonding with mixed breeds (the half amazing- half terrific breed). Working/herding class dogs need more mental stimulation. Hound/sporting breeds need goal-specific physical activity. Non-sporting/toy/terrier breeds love snuggles and affection. I do it all and I am passionate about making every dog know they are the goodest boy or girl ever!

Brandy is such a great dog mom and will care for any dog like it is her own! She always loves to take dogs out on walks and will play with them to ensure they get plenty of stimulation. I would recommend Brandy to take care of any dog!

Brandy is very good with dogs. She is very attentive with the dogs that she is watching, which was very impressive to see because she was taking care of a husky, a great Dane, and a half great Dane at the same time. She is the only person that I have seen that could get the Great Dane to stop barking quickly and gently. I would recommend her service to anyone and everyone.

I always meet with you and your pup sometime in the days before you trust your pup to me. This way you can tell me what commands they know and what rules you have for them to obey so that my care is consistent with the care they receive with you. I also will ask you to do an activity with your dog and I to reduce separation anxiety for when you do trust your pup to me. I also like to get to know the daily routine you have with your dog so that I can adhere as close as I can to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible! I live next door to a city park so there are wooded trails and paved paths to walk your pup on. I play with pets in the way they want to play (fetch, tug of war, or just hyping your dog up from the sidelines while they play by themselves if they prefer!). I will lay on the floor to snuggle with your pup, or they can climb all over me and snuggle wherever they prefer and I can read a book while they nap on me.

The more I know about your pup, the more prepared I can be and the more your dog will feel safe and comfortable with me. I’d like to know about: • What makes them anxious and/or angry? And what do you do to calm them down? • any allergies • any medications or supplements required and the administration method • your typical routine with your pup (dogs feel more comfy if their schedules are maintained) • the commands and rules you use and maintain with your pup (once again— consistency is key to making your pup feel their best) • any behaviors I should be aware of (tell me about unwanted behaviors— I’ll even help figure out the root cause and what can be done about it to make your dog the healthiest and happiest they can be) • Accessories they want/need. Do they want or need a jacket to go outside? Do they need a specific toy near them in order to fall asleep?
A typical day
I love walking pups and letting them sniff all the smells! Since I live near a park, there’s always new sniffs to smell. I’ll play with your dog. Fetch? Yes. Tug of war? Absolutely. Hiding a squeaker toy so they have to “hunt” for it? You bet. Crawling all over the floor with them and playfully chasing them? Heck yeah, that’s the only time you’ll see me run. Setting up a fun little obstacle course for your pup? I’m a kid at heart, I’ll find creative ways to make your pup happy! I adore snuggly dogs. If your dog is the type that prefers a little ~S P A C E~ instead of snuggles, I will respect that too!

I start working full-time on April 29 ~~but until then, I’m free to love on and care for your pet in the way they need and deserve 💜🐾 Once I begin working full time, my availability will change to weekends only
