I recently rescued (found them outside Cochiti Pueblo, literally) two 6-week old puppies and raised them both from 6 weeks old. I kept one (Korra) and gave the other (Buster) to a great loving family. I have had a blast raising my puppy Korra so far! She is now 8 months old and is crate- and sleep-trained, able to sit, lie down, shake, stay, and (my personal favorite) high five. I am currently working with her on frisbee catching and additional move commands. I run, walk, and hike with her on and off-leash, and I’m looking forward to going backpacking with her through our national parks this summer. I have lived with animals my entire life and have yet to meet one that I did not get along with, or in most cases, fall in love with. I firmly believe in taking the time to train our furry friends, and by taking this time, developing a fantastic companion. I currently work a full-time job, so weekend work would be preferable, but I do have some flexibility to work on weekdays, too. In a nutshell, I simply love all animals and treat them like family!
