Looking For Animal Companions!

Pet care experience

I really enjoy being able to give back to the community by providing quality love and care to owners and dogs that need it the most. I understand how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend, so I’m here to help make that time as easy as possible. My ultimate goal is to make your pup feel right at home when they’re with me! I am currently a senior at Boston University. During a stay, I will make sure I'm completely transparent and available to my clients at all times. I’m happy to check in throughout the day by text or picture messages as well. I will always have my phone on and ready to respond to any requests from them. For my canine clients, they will have my undivided attention! I love getting to know dogs and work around their schedules, so we’ll make sure to have plenty of quality time together. For any new clients, I do like to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand, because it gives me a great opportunity to make sure that we’re a good fit for one another. I would want to know whether or not the canine client is more shy or friendly before meeting them. While this does not impact my perception of the animal in any way, I want to make sure that, when first meeting, I approach the situation in whatever way is more comfortable for the dog. For example, if I find out prior to meeting Bingo that he is friendly, I will come to the door and greet him with a tummy rub. If, however, Bingo is not friendly and the owner informs me before, I will engage with him in more of a relaxed manner that does not scare or frighten him in any way. I’m happy to meet your pup or cat at their speed, no matter what it is.

Brandon has cared for my rescue dog, Buddy, since the day I got him. Brandon alway shows loving care for all animals, and is enthusiastic about playing with Buddy and taking him for walks, or teaching him tricks. I believe dogs can tell when someone is really a dog lover, and that is why Buddy is always so happy to see Brandon.

Brandon is one of the kindest and most loving people you and your dog will ever meet! I asked Brandon to watch my dog while my family and I went on a vacation for one week, and unfortunately, right before we left our 8-year-old retriever fell down the stairs and had a problem walking. We later learned this was a torn ACL. Brandon was quick to do everything possible for our dog and provided a fun and loving environment for him while we were gone and unable to help. I recommend Brandon for ANY animal-sitting needs, as I can imagine that he is most likely just as caring and sweet for all animal types.

Information Brandon D. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

Your pooch and I would have a day filled with dog walks, trips to the dog park (if nearby), and playtime with her favorite toy. Additionally, when we are just hanging out at the house, she can expect to be pet frequently! I love to go on runs and go to the beach as well. Luckily, those two activities are perfect for dogs! I also love walking along the Boston Commons; however, I would be interested to see and look for dog parks or even open fields in your neighborhood. If no parks are available, I will try to find the place with the largest sidewalk that is the safest option.
