Won't find better care!
Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Brandi, and I am the founder of Getaway OCS, LLC. I began pet sitting and transportation while attending UNCW to give back to the community and make some extra cash. The plan was to land a job working with marine wildlife after graduation, but fate had another plan for me. Between the list of clients I had already brought in and the rising need for pet services in the area, it motivated me to marry my love for animals with my passion for helping others. As a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in animal behavior, I had the necessary skill-set to succeed with a business of this nature. After building up clientele for about a year, I applied for the LLC, which came into effect on January 1, 2021. I am incredibly passionate about helping both people and their pets. With experience working with all animals, I can handle just about anything. Administering medications, following daily routines, handling special needs cases, and developing lasting relationships are all my top priorities.
Reviews
Brandi is the best. Period.
Brandi was exceptional! She watched our two young puppies for two weeks and we got updates multiple times a day. Very experienced and good credentials.
Caring, responsible pet lover. Brandi was communicative and sent lots of pics. Look forward to having her back.
Brandy was exceptional. My sitter cancelled at the last minute and she stepped up and helped me out. I couldn't be more thankful. She got along very well with Sake. She took her on rides and long walks. She updated me every day with what was going on and also sent pictures. She didn't have any trouble giving Sake her medicine. I would absolutely recommend her again. Thanks brandy for all your help.

Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to watch your fur babies in their own environment if possible. If not, they are welcome to stay with me. If your pet is smaller and gets along well with other pets, they can stay in the beach house where they will get lots of love, puppy play, and beach walks.

Information Brandi C. would like to know about your pet
I need to know about any specific behaviors, personality traits, quirks, or special care instructions your pet has before a service can take place. To provide the best service possible, I need to know things your pet may fear or what they do not like, as well as their most favorite things. In addition, we will need to discuss any medical conditions, allergies, aggression (male aggressive, dog aggressive, food aggressive, toy aggressive, etc.), separation anxiety, health issues, destructive behaviors, preferred exercise level, etc. This is usually done during the Meet & Greet. I prefer for this to be in person, though I can offer a virtual Meet & Greet for extenuating circumstances. I understand sometimes you may need our services last minute due to someone else canceling on you or one of life's many emergencies and I will try to accommodate those situations the best I can.
A typical day
Playing, snuggling and walks are always the best activities. I am close to the beach and would enjoy taking your pet for walks if circumstances allow. Luckily for dogs, a ball can be thrown almost anywhere so we can customize whatever routine you like!

Availability
I work/volunteer part time so I should be able to accommodate anything from the 20 minute walk to the month long live-in. It is my first priority so I will schedule it as such.
