My family and I raised Seeing Eye Dogs in New Jersey. It was always party of my daily routine to take the dogs for a walk and practice their basic commands. Socialization was one of the key components to our function as a foster family, and we were encouraged to take our dogs to as many diverse environments as possible where they would grow comfortable and confident enough to someday be someone else's eyes in those situations. We always had a great time introducing our adorable black lab puppies to people and informing them about their future as a guide dog. After eighteen months, the dogs would go back to The Seeing Eye to be trained. On graduation day, we would go to Morristown to watch our dogs guide a blindfolded instructor through the streets. It always made us so proud to see our pups ready to serve someone who needed them. Thanks in large part to that experience, I have always valued the care, love and attention dogs need - not to mention the energy they need to burn. I would love to help provide much needed attention and exercise for your pooch. I am a very active individual who works primarily in the evening running a local brewery. My mornings and early afternoons are free to get your dog outside for a good walk/jog and some midday companionship so you can come home to a happy dog every night.
