My history with dogs is not professional, but goes back to owning my own furry friend when I first moved to Philadelphia. Since his passing, I was an "uncle" to many breeds - both canine and feline. When my best friend took ill, I adopted his four-legged "child" for a few months. I even trained him to travel my staircase, which he was initially afraid of. I have been in the public health field for over thirty years, but I feel my communication and empathetic skills will transfer completely to a new animal career. My work ethic is definitely "old-school" which is a positive characteristic in today's hectic world.
