Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs since I was an early teenager. In my neighborhood I was known as the person to come to anytime someone needed a sitter, someone to come feed their dog(s), or even a simple walk while the owners were busy/out of town. I enjoy taking care of animals, and I am actually planning on pursuing a Veterinarian career when I attend college this fall semester.

I’ve had 2 dogs. My first dog was a Boxer named Boss. He passed away a couple of years back, and my parents decided to get a new dog recently. He is a Golden-Doodle, and his name is Winston. He is 4 months old and already 27 pounds because we keep him on a well fed raw diet. He is very sweet and well behaved. We take him on walks daily to keep him in shape and make sure he gets enough play time. Every time we visit the Vet, he always comes back with healthy results, so I know what we are doing to care for Winston is working. I will love and care for your pet like I love and care for Winston.

I’d prefer if a dog owner tells me ahead of time if their dog has any special needs, that way I can prepare before. Also behavioral needs. For example, maybe your dog has aggression issues around other dogs, so I may need to tweak my walking route to avoid other dogs, or maybe your who has anxiety issues and can only walk in quiet and calm places.
A typical day
I like to challenge the dogs that I walk. For example, teaching them not to pull when they walk on a leash , how to stay calm when walking past other dogs during walks, etc. I’m also a very active person myself, specifically a runner, so sometimes i’ll run with the dogs that i’m walking who can handle it to let them get more exercise & playtime. I love absolutely love Flag Pole Hill park, it’s very open and welcoming.

I am currently an incoming freshman college Student-Athlete. I have free time during this summer when I am not attending workouts. I decided that Rover seems like the best fit for me, especially for my type of schedule.
