I've had all type of pets growing up, My mother used to rescue hurt and stray dogs and I helped her care for them and find them loving homes. I had a small female dog stay here for 15 days and she was great and her family was pleased when they picked her up, I treat animals like part of my family, cause in a sense they are. Four years ago I lost the son I never had-My Japanese chin JIMMY,I had him for all most 10 years and he passed away in my arms. I was thrown out of a few stores cause I had to have him with me. I was told by my kids I loved him more then them. His vet was Dr. Ratner in Island park. I've adopted cats from a shelter 3 years ago, and love them like crazy.
