All animals need is patience & love
Pet care experience
I’ve cared for animals of all kinds since I was 8 I was raised with dogs and cats but have also had reptile, aquatic, rodent, and bird experience. Mostly shelter volunteer and in-home work, I’m passionate about animal welfare and care. I respect different pet parenting styles and won’t overindulge or overstep my duties as a caretaker. I Also believe in leaving any space I’m in just as or nicer than I found it, as nobody should come home from a vacation to a messy home or chores to do.
Reviews
Bonnie did a great job! She was comfortable with our dogs and our conure! It can be hard to find someone comfortable with birds. We liked Bonnie’s easy-going and caring nature. She clearly cares about and enjoys the animals.
Bonnie was very conscientious with our dog and our home. Ellie has some digestive problems and Bonnie handled that really well and kept us informed of her status the whole time we were away. She sent frequent pictures and was very responsive when we had questions. We would certainly book with her again.
We were very happy with Bonnie. She took very good care of Tully & even gave us advice on dealing with some of his issues. We were always notified of anything that was needed. We would certainly use Bonnie again.
Bonnie was extremely patient and kind with our dog who was being a little more reactive than normal in her new house. Bonnie recommended a couple of things to get our dog used to her, including a scheduled walk, before we left for our trip. We always felt our dog was in good hands!

Safety, trust & environment
I like to get to know the animal in a neutral territory on leash first typically, and build trust with them via walks closer to their home/familiar area. I don’t have a fenced yard currently but am working on getting a short fence up once the weather warms back up. I prefer to work with dogs on leash unless they are in their own home, with the exception of a high fenced yard as I have met both runners and jumpers. I can’t care for cats in my home due to my cat who gets territorial and scared by other cats, but adores dogs. Most of my experience has been in-home care for pets and they often do best on their familiar spaces
