I miss having a dog but don’t have the time to care for one full time. I’d love to spoil your dog for a weekend and send it home exhausted. My kids also love dogs and would participate in said spoiling. I’m in a townhome. I can only care for small dogs in home, but am happy to visit someone else’s home in the evenings with my kids for 30 minute drop ins. I’m not an expert, but I’ve kept 2 kids alive for roughly 6 and 8 years, so I have that going for me. Honestly I just miss having an animal in the house but because I don’t have time to care for one, I thought I could care for someone else’s dog on occasion. Like grandparents and aunts and uncles do with babies. I want to be like a doggy-grandma, if that makes sense.
