I recently earned my PhD in biology and zoo animal behavior and relocated to North Carolina from Cleveland for a research job at the zoo. Before grad school, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 10 years and am comfortable with pets that have special medical needs. I can administer oral and injectable medications and can identify potential medical issues before they become emergencies as well as provide basic medical care for non-emergencies. I've also volunteered and fostered with several rescue groups so I am comfortable with working through your pet's behavioral challenges. I'm looking for opportunities to supplement my income, use my animal knowledge and skills, and spend time with some great dogs! There's as many benefits for me as there are for you and your pets!

Bonnie is the best. She is great with all our dogs and they love her. She looks after them really well and also gives them regular walks and play sessions. Bonnie is fully qualified to care for all sorts of dogs. It is a great relief knowing that our pets are not over anxious with having to be boarded but can be comfortable in their own home. Bonnie was originally referred by another friend who had pets with special needs, (diabetic cat, and a dog on antibiotics). She was very professional and made sure our house was as clean or cleaner than when we left.

A typical day
I like hiking and being out in nature in parks or on trails. I'm also new to the area, so I'm doing a lot of exploring and it's so much better to see new things when you have a dog with you!
