Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs (and cats!) of all sizes for the past decade+, becoming my friends and family’s first call Walker and sitter! Whether an afternoon walk while you’re at work, or on vacation and I stay with your pet on your houseboat, I’d love to be your first call as a sitter!

Bobby took great care of Shadow, my 7 year old forever pup. She’s shy with new people, but they became great friends over the three days I was away. Bobby is prompt and an excellent communicator. He sent lots of photos and asked questions to make sure he had everything right. Definitely will book with Bobby again!
I have a reactive dog with a lot of feelings, so I’m very careful about who I trust to walk him. He’s an adorable pooch, so in the past I’ve had people assume I’m exaggerating his behavioral requirements. Bobby was a refreshing contrast to all that! He’s experienced when it comes to complicated pups, and aware that every animal has a unique sets of experiences and needs. Both Helo and I miss Bobby as well as his excellent dogsitting/dogwalking services.
Bobby has watched our animals several times...which include one dog, one cat, and three goats. They all love him and he does a good job, and follows our directions exactly. Highly recommended!

Along with direct observation from hanging out with your pet, I find the best thing is to have a conversation about your pets needs, safety, typical schedule, and how you like to take care of them before the first walk/sitting. Additionally, notes outlining these things are appreciated!

I like to keep the schedule as close to your dogs typical routine as possible. I also find it’s helpful to know about how your dog tends to react to other dogs and people, there are any triggers to be aware of etc. Additionally, any favorite toys, treats, places to walk, friends in the neighborhood are all great to know about!
A typical day
A walk around the neighborhood is always a great way to start! After that I like to go to a local park or dog walk if available, all the while reinforcing good behavior with verbal praise and treats, if allowed.

As a freelance musician/writer/creative with an ever evolving schedule, walking and sitting is the perfect way to fill the gaps in my schedule, while also having the added benefits of hanging out with dogs :)
