I have had pets all my life, mostly dogs, but also the occaisional guinea pig, rabbit, or snake. I am a big believer of training and socializing pets, and in natural communication. We trained our dogs Ben & Bella for therapy, which they adored. As an amateur, I am often asked to help train my friends' pets. I run our dogs 2 miles every morning before breakfast. This is important, not only to work off some excess energy, and for stimulation, but it also sets the animals in a cooperative pack with the human leading. My wife and I make a point of feeding the cat and dogs treats together. Yes, the get along just fine I find myself drawn to pets. They show such devotion and trust of us. I try to be worthy of that.
