Feel free to talk to me about pet massage! I grew up in Vermont raising large dogs and being around animals of every kind! Since then my wife and I have traveled the world, making our way by house and pet sitting, from New Zealand to Bangkok! We had our cat, Jilly, for 20 years and for 10 years she was diabetic, requiring 2 shots of insulin a day. With my experience of needing a pet career and being a pet cater, I know first hand the value of finding the right person, someone responsible, responsive, respectful, and trustworthy. I’m vaccinated and fully boosted.

Blane looked after our miniature poodle Nina for a few weeks while we were away on holiday. Nina was in excellent shape when we returned and seemed to have enjoyed her time with Blane. I have also received body work from Blane and I feel he is very trustworthy, calm, steady, and a good caregiver. Highly recommended!

I like to be as knowledgeable as possible about your dog. I like to have a sense of their temperament, how they interact with other dogs and humans, your dogs likes and dislikes, his/her routine, where they like to hang out, what level of training they have, if they have any sensitive areas on their body, arthritis or injuries, and about any stressors (do they hate the cold or rain? Are they afraid of thunder?)
A typical day
Just like humans, every dog is different so I like to follow the owners lead and stated preferences on what we do and where we go. I enjoy the company of dogs, so hanging out with them, dog play, running around, playing catch are all things we can do together.

Availability
My wife, Monique, and I are both pet carers so one or both of us is nearly always available. We’re both therapists/counselors, artists, readers, travelers, meditators and love walks! Monique is also a local business owner and massage therapist. People ask us why we do this too… we continue to pet care because we love it and it helps keep our life in balance.
