Dog lover in Wallingford

Pet care experience

I recently moved to Wallingford and am living close to Green Lake - I've been so happy since moving to this dog friendly neighborhood! Would love to take your pup out on an adventure to Green Lake dog park, Alki, Golden Gardens, walking about the neighborhood or keep it simple, playing in the back yard if they are more shy. I currently work from home, so i am here everyday and my easy work load keeps my days flexible, making it easy to get out of the house for frequent breaks. Generally, my partner hangs out with our new Rover friends when I'm running errands. So you can rest assured that your pup will have company nearly 24/7. There are some times when we are both away from home, as we are teaching partners for Tango classes. Right now, our updated schedule is: Second Friday every month, we are gone from 7pm - 1am Sundays we are gone from 5 pm till 9:30 pm Tuesdays we are gone from 4:45 7:30/8pm Other than that, we are home the rest of the time! One request my partner and I have, is that we do not watch dogs that are super barky - we live in a multi-unit home and just want to be respectful of our neighbor downstairs. Additionally, my partner is a therapist and often times meets with patients via zoom and overly barking dogs can be a distraction for the session. There is a shared front door before the front door to our unit. The down stairs unit does not own a dog, but there can be human foot traffic coming and going throughout the day. So if door traffic is really triggering for your pup, it might not be the best fit. My partner swims daily at Alki and we like to take our Rovers out to the beach for a fun adventure or swing over to Golden Garden or Volunteer park (if dogs do well in the car). I'm comfortable to care for dogs with needs for additional care, such as medication, strict feeding requirements, etc. And I am also available for drop in visits/walks for dogs or drop in cat visits. Looking forward to meeting you and your dog!

Blair took excellent care of Leo for his week long stay. Blair provided great updates and pictures as well. They also generously offered (and we took them up on it) to drive him home to us after we encountered car issues on pickup day. I would totally reccomed Blair to anyone who needs dogsitting and I would 100 percent book with them again.

Blair was very attentive to Ein and made sure that he was well taken care of while we were gone. Highly recommend.

Blair took fantastic care of our fur babies! We have one very timid dog and she was excellent with him. She sent us photos and made sure to keep us updated. Thank you Blair!!

Your dog is welcome to cuddle as close as they want or take whatever space they need. They can join us on the couch or in bed, as they wish. We are very used to dogs becoming our shadows (so we are careful to not step backwards w/o looking lol) and we enjoy the company and love that dogs give. We have a fenced yard, though I most prefer to walk in the neighborhood. But even if we are playing in the back yard, they are never unattended outside. Lastly, there are two front doors to our unit - one just to our unit, and then a shared front door. This is great because it prevents even the best bandits and escape artist from breaking free.

Information Blair K. would like to know about your pet

The most important information for us to know is if your dog is highly anxious with separation anxiety, and if they are triggered with door traffic and have a hard time calming down when people come and go from the front door. Other than that, every dog has their own personality, and we enjoy getting to know them each time they come to stay with us.

A typical day

Places we frequent most: Golden Gardens Greenlake dog park Wallingford and Merdian playfields Alki If dogs really do well in cars, off leash and with other dogs, Mercer Island is a dog paradise for swimming!

As far as scheduling, i work from home so the flexibility to go for walks and have outings is really great throughout the week. On the weekends, we love to take dogs to the beach with us (we go year around!) If dogs dont do well in the car, i stay home with them and we go for a walk around the neighborhood. Greg has a few days a week where he works from our home office, so if I have to run an errand, i try to do that when he is home, so the time your pup is home alone is very minimal. However, Greg and I do have a teaching schedule that pulls both of us away from home, but you can let us know the best way to help your pup not feel anxious while we are away (distraction with a treat, crates, etc.).
