Pet care experience
I am new to Rover but I’ve worked professionally with a number of animals over the last 15 years. I’ve work in boarding/vet/daycare facilities for 5 years and I’ve done in-home care for the last 15. I’ve also volunteered my time in a wildlife rehab for 5 years working most closely with birds, squirrels, and opossums- but on occasion did work with mice, snakes, turtles, and frogs. Only once I cared for a spider. I fostered puppies and adult dogs for 3 years for the shelter. And I’m familiar with a number of medications including insulin. I am a big animal lover. My personal pets include a dog, a cat, 3 chickens, 2 pigeons, and some mealworms.

My English Bulldog Lucy was in good hands. I was out of town every 4 months or so for a week at a time when Bird watched Lucy. It was in my house and she did a few things extra like picked up mail and watered plants. Reliable, trustworthy, followed instructions, gave updates. I know wrinkle cleaning is not everyone’s cup of tea! Highly recommend!
Excellent pet sitter, went above and beyond for our 9 year old greyhound Max. He tore a ligament through routine wear while we were out of the country. She took him to the vet, kept us updated, and provided additional care. We used her as our pet sitter for several years with our two dogs and cat.
Bird is the best of the best! She has cared for my pets for over 10 years. You will not find a more dedicated animal lover with tons of experience. She takes exceptional care of my dogs (4 of them) & cat and always has great communication. She goes out of her way to help with any medications or grooming needs. The peace of mind to be able to leave town and know that my pets are being well taken care of and loved is priceless. Highly recommended!

At my home, I have a fenced yard, a dog-friendly cat and dog. Dogs are allowed on the couch. Kenneling as necessary- for example protecting puppies from chewing on everything. In a clients home, I follow the care instructions provided.

A typical day
Depending on the animal, how social, and their care needs- we might take walks, go to the dog park, play with toys, have treats, etc. they will have the companionship of my dog Bootsy if they’re dog-friendly.

I work full time, Monday- Friday morning shift. But have full availability on weekends. My schedule is stable and doesn’t vary very often or very much if it does.
