I will tailor the schedule according to each dogs needs, however for the most part our schedule looks like this: 1. On weekdays we're up bright and early, my husband will take them out around 6AM to go toilet. They will get breakfast between 7-8AM, followed by a 1-mile walk which normally takes around 30 minutes. For more energetic dogs, I will take them on a 2 mile walk. 2. During the day I work from home, so I will take them out to potty as needed. Normally around mid-day, I will take them for a short walk around the block to get some fresh air. 3. In the evening, I like to mix it up with either a long walk or we will take them to a fenced dog park (only if your dog likes dog parks). We love exploring Austin's trails and nature scene, so on weekends, we will go explore different trails. We have a VW Tiguan SUV, so it is easy for us to transport 2 large dogs. If we are going out anywhere without the dogs, I always make sure that the dogs are well-exercised beforehand and have had the opportunity to go potty before we leave. I will try to leave out brain games or treats to keep them entertained while we're out. We also have a doggy camera installed, so I always keep an eye on them even when we're out.
