Happy pet, happy owner!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Billie. I am a professional dog trainer and pet sitter in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. I have been walking and training dogs on my own since 2013. My background is training exotic animals at various zoos around the country. I gained a lot of experience training sea lions at an aquarium in Connecticut. Through this experience, I fell in love with the psychology of dog training and decided to apply that knowledge to pets. I have owned almost every species of domestic animal as a pet. I understand how crucial it is to have a good pet sitter and to know your pets are being taken care of while you are away on vacation. I also provide daily dog walking while you are at work. My current pets are my dog, Josie, and my cat, Tucker. Please send me a message with any questions. Have a great day!

Billie truly loves dogs and it shows. I came back to 3 happy dogs and a neat Home. I would definitely consider Billie again for our next home stay.
We adopted Charlie from the Humane Society as an 8 year old stray. Little did we know how timid and shy he was, nor was he house broken. With Billie’s help, within a few days he would come when called and was learning to trust us and to not jump at every sound. Through games and training, she helped him gain his confidence. He was house trained very quickly. He is still gaining confidence each day. Thank you to Billie and Waggy Day Pet Services for making him a happy part of our family!
HI! My name is Coal. Though I pride myself in being very special, I am really just a mix breed. I guess I am very special as my Mom is extremely picky about who is allowed to take care of me. I actually met Billie MacFarlane several years ago when my Mom was working long hours and my “brothers” had gone to college. Billie came in the afternoon to take me out and walk me. She also stayed with me for awhile so that I had some human interaction, not just a potty break. In the past few years Billie has taken care of me while my Mom is out of town. She has stayed with me so I am not alone. She has also taken me to play with the other dogs in the area which is really cool. As I am sure you can tell, I am getting older these days and that means I need medicine and a bit more care. Again, Billie is the one Mom has called on to care for me. She trusts Billie with her home and more importantly, me her side kick. She just has a way of making me feel safe and that is important. She likes LOTS of different animals so call her if you have a question, but remember, I get first dibs!

Information Billie M. would like to know about your pet
I work with all breeds including those labeled as aggressive. I love all dogs: the bigger the better! I do require rabies licenses for all dogs.
A typical day
We will go on walks around your neighborhood, to nearby parks, or to the dog park for doggie socialization. I love to play ball, fetch, rope toys, "go find" games, and with their favorite toys. My background is in providing enrichment for zoo animals, so your dog will be expertly entertained. I am a trainer and often use techniques such as target training, scent training, and movie tricks to keep your pets stimulated, thinking, and happy. Having a mentally and physically stimulated pet helps keep your home and furniture safe from destruction and eliminate bad habits pets can develop after being kept inside.
