In the past, my family and I have successfully cared for two rescue dogs: a Rat Terrier-Jack Russell mix with no training and awful habits, and a MaltiPoo (Maltese-Poodle) with impressive training and an intense grooming routine. Despite the differences, I instantly loved each one, and even proved to myself that you can train old dog new tricks. I am a patient individual with other helpful experiences such as cleaning up after an accident in the house, and paying attention to needs as pups might express them. I know how to be gentle in touch, but firm (not mean) in commands. Lastly, I have individual experiences in dog-sitting and house-sitting, so combining the two is not a problem for me. Dog/house sitting was my first ever experience with responsibility, and it began with service to the neighbors.
