Cat lady w/ a soft spot for doggos

Pet care experience

Hey, everyone! My name is Bevin and I love, love, love animals. I'm particularly fond of kitty cats, but I'm also the person who will change lanes to get closer when I see a dog in a nearby car. So while I consider cats my speciality, all are welcome here! :) SCHEDULE NOTE: I will be out of the country from Feb 15-Feb 28, so unavailable for bookings.

CATS: I am a proud crazy cat lady, and have committed to learning as much as I can about cat behavior to make sure my own kitty lives a wonderful life. I LOVE cats and caring for them is my speciality! Your furry feline is guaranteed to have a great time with me, because I specialize in respect, gentleness, plenty of playtime, and learning as much as I can about your baby's preferences. Whatever you & Fluffy want, you will get! DOGS: My goal when I visit a doggo is to make sure they feel safe, get exercise, and have fun! This starts with us having a meet and greet, so your pupper can meet me with you present and know I’m safe. Next, I want to know all about your dog and their quirks! I’m not a dog expert, but I do have experience with dogs who are reactive, shy, and everything in between. Just let me know what their needs are, and we’re sure to have a fantastic time together! (*I usually stick to small and medium sized dogs. If you have a bigger friend, just send me a message and we can discuss!)

Information Bevin G. would like to know about your pet

In general, I want to know as much about your fluffy baby as possible! Health concerns, regular feeding/playing/walking schedule, quirks, favorite games, "don'ts", etc. So, all clients will receive a questionnaire from me, which I've crafted based on years of pet-sitting to help me get to know more about your pet's routine and needs! This should cover the main "need to know" points, but any additional notes and instructions are appreciated and never too much! I don't mind taking on special needs pets, rescues, or senior animals, as long as you give me detailed instructions, vet information, and a quick way to contact you in an emergency. Other important notes: In my home, I only accept small breed dogs (max 25lbs usually). This is due to me being in a small house and, for those who may be staying longer, my cat's safety and comfort levels. In general, if your dog is large or requires a TON of exercise, I'm not the right match for you. This is because while I am home, I'm working (except for weekends). We'll go out for walks and play in the yard, but won't be doing anything SUPER active. I want your dog to be happy, so smaller and/or lower energy is the best canine match for me. I love the bigger/higher energy babes, but I don't think they'd have the best day at my place - so for those, please book a drop-in visit or walk instead! For kitties, anything and anyone goes! Yes, I'll even take kittens if need be (I've fostered many a little baby). However, if your cat is going to be stressed being in a home with another cat (specifically, smelling the other cat, since they probably won't meet), it's probably best to book a drop-in visit (at your home) instead of boarding or daycare. **Notes for those boarding their pets at my home: -My resident kitty cat, Caspian, does like calm, small breed dogs and some other cats, but unless your buddy is staying with me longer than 3 days, I probably won't introduce them (depends on the situation). That being said, if your pet doesn't like cats, he/she WILL smell/hear mine, so we're probably not the best match. -Also, I'm married, so my husband will be with me in the evenings. He is a serious animal lover himself who will only add to the amount of love your baby gets here, but do let me know if your pet has any aversion to males that we should be aware of.

A typical day

I live in a neighborhood with lots of sidewalks for walking and my house has a fenced-in yard. I usually take visiting dog friends out walking/for potty breaks 3x during a normal work day, with at least one longer walk around lunch or in the evening. In the evening, we'll definitely take a nice long walk and can do a couple more potty breaks as needed! Plenty of snuggles and play time in the house, too. :) Boarding: Dogs: If your dog is staying overnight, he/she is welcome to sleep wherever she feels most comfortable. I'd suggest bringing their doggy bed or a favorite blanket for comfort. I'd prefer he/she not sleep in my bed, but if your baby has anxiety or isn't crate trained and needs comfort, of course they are welcome! Cats: I will do whatever it is you enjoy! Play time (chasing wands, sprinting around the house pushing crinkle balls, etc), treats, couch cuddles, etc. If it's a short term visit, I probably won't introduce my resident cat. That means that your cat and mine will probably rotate rooms every once in a while, so my kitty can still get attention. Trust that I am a full-on CAT LADY, so I am guaranteed to be obsessed with yours, period. They will receive tons of love and get to play in my "cat room" (home to tunnels, climbing shelves, and toys galore!). Make sure to pack their favorite toys and something that smells like home for comfort!

I've been doing pet-sitting for friends, neighbors, and family for a long time & now care for animals literally every day! I've taken care of dogs of every size, senior cats and dogs, cats with diabetes, dogs with anxiety, deaf pets, and even fish! In a casual sense, I've been watching people's pets for around 10 years. In a more professional capacity, I've been pet-sitting for about 4 years. Plus, I've been a pet owner for the majority of my life and fostered plenty of little kittens over the years, too. This is not my first rodeo, and your pet will be in good, loving hands.
