For several years I was a "Foster Mom" at Maltese Rescue, where I fostered Maltese and other small breeds. I enjoy the intelligence, affectionate nature, and sense of humor of all dogs, but especially the little ones. I feel they need tender loving care because of their size and vulnerability. I have a large, escape-proof backyard, a covered patio, a doggy door and a bell to ring if a bell is preferred. I have two small dogs, both rescued, and they enjoy our guests. My half-Siamese cat, Sunny-Girl, is an indoor-outdoor cat, has not been declawed, has never yet fought with a guest dog, but can jump to the top of our wooden fence and come back home later when the coast is clear. We do not keep terriers for that reason - we enjoy a certain amount of peace and fun.
