When Beverly took in the German Shepherd who was a stray in her neighborhood, Marla the GS had two serious problems. The first was discovered when she took Marla in for shots and exam, Marla was diagnosed with heartworm. Beverly was diligent in the medication treatment where the meds had to be given at precisely the right time each month. It took two years of treatment to totlally get rid of the heartworms. The second problem explained why no one else had taken in this beautiful German Shepherd. She had severe anxiety when left alone in the house. No kennel would hold her, no herb would calm her, not even the jacket that promised to do that for her. Marla did a lot of home damage in the year plus to get her to the point where she could be alone in the house (no kennel). But the work, the patience, and the love poured into that dog by Beverly and her family paid off more than she could have ever hoped for. Marla is a dog that will never be forgotten, she was one special dog. Guardian, friend, family. That was Marla. Oh, let’s not forget comedian. She could make us laugh!

I have known Beverly for years and her work ethic is outstanding. She loves dogs and is always caring. She herself has a recuse dog. Through hours of training and love she has given her dog a new life. I wish she lived near me because my dog would love to walk with her and she could care for him in his home when I am gone. She is and trustworthy and kind.
