I love sharing my life with dogs. Dogs have been my constant companions ever since I was a child and each one holds a special place in my heart. I have owned a Basset, Labrador Retrievers, Mixed Breeds, and currently have a Standard Poodle and a Doberman (both females). I have also cared for a variety of smaller mixed breeds and purebred dogs. I have been naturally rearing my dogs for almost 25 years and I believe that a healthy lifestyle and raw diet optimally position dogs to live long and happy lives. I have fed raw exclusively ever for almost 25 years and can support any raw feeding requirements. I understand dog behaviour and I am able to develop a strong rapport with most dogs fairly easily. Basic obedience and respectful behaviours are promoted in a loving positive environment in my home. Dogs are allowed access to all areas of my home while supervised. I am well versed in common health issues and I do all my own grooming including coat, ears and nails. I am also familiar with many breed specific health issues e.g. bloat, seizures and hip dysplasia and have encountered each of these issues previously.

Bev is exceptional in all regards. A proud living dog owner herself, and extremely experienced and knowledgeable. I had complete confidence leaving Ninamae in her care and would seek her out again when in the area. I would recommend her to anyone (so would Ninamae).
Bev is very compassionate and well rounded in her knowledge of dogs, their needs and what to do holistically to keep them healthy and happy. She is also a great groomer. She has a wonderful safe yard for dogs to play. Her compassion and love for all animals is admirable. I am sure Bev will do her utmost to cater to your needs and the needs of your furkids.
Bev is a fantastic person, with a huge heart she wears on her sleave. She owns one ofy dobermans and has shown herself to be a fantastic trainer, who understands dogs. I would recommend her to anyone looking to have a great dog person to look after their dog.
Bev is a compassionate, dedicated dog owner. The level of care that she provides for her pets is nothing short of stellar. She also cares for our 9-year old Labrador Retriever on a regular basis and I could not ask for better. My mind is always at ease when our fur baby is with her. Bev’s knowledge and understanding about animals, particularly dogs, is admirable. Her dogs are some of the best-trained dogs I have ever been in the company of. Most importantly, Bev is a truly selfless animal lover and caregiver.

I have a large home 3500 sq feet and a fenced back yard. I follow a balanced approach to providing exercise and mental stimulation for my 13.5 year old Standard Poodle and my 1 year old Doberman. My dogs are well socialised and enjoy the company of other dogs. My senior dog is not really interested in play time (though she has her moments) but really enjoys being part of the big picture and is never far from any activity :). I have often cared for my son’s Retriever and the Doberman in particular enjoys play time with him.

Information Bev V. would like to know about your pet
I will need to understand any special needs you dog has and how they interact with other dogs. As I have two dogs .. I will need to make sure that all will be respectful of each other. I am very familiar with managing 2-3 dogs daily and can manage any oral medications easily. I have not administered injections but I am confident I could manage that.
A typical day
We generally walk every day unless the weather is terrible. I prefer to walk very early so we can have a peaceful walk without too many distractions. Generally i leave from my house and my route takes us around the neighbourhood and Rainbow Gully recreation area. Sunshine park is within driving distance and we walk there weekly,,, these walks offer socialization as they this area is a local favourite for families and dog lovers.

Availability
My work schedule is 8AM to 4:30PM, Mon-Fri. Work-life balance is a priority for me and this extends to our two dogs. We walk every morning and they spend their “sleepy” time in my office with me. Bathroom breaks, play time and feeding are offered in line with my coffee/lunch breaks during the week. Evenings and weekends are generally spent with the dogs. I may go out on Saturday or Sunday for a couple of hours to run errands etc., but ensure that the dogs are safe and comfortable, monitoring them periodically on our security camera. My dogs are never left unsupervised if they appear unwell, or are exhibiting any insecure or fearful behaviour.
