I do it "all fur love!'
Pet care experience
I am the ultimate pet lover! I started my own pet sitting business in 2002, and I can't think of doing anything else! I have extreme flexible schedule, start my day at 6 am for those pets who need an early "wake up call", up until its time to tuck them into bed for the night. I am known for overstaying my scheduled visits because I just love playing with and taking care of my furry clients. I am passionate about making sure your dogs feel safe, secure and loved in your absence. Experienced with seniors, special needs pets, as well as administering of medications and diabetic pets. My only limitation is I cannot go up more than 5 stairs, due to past knee injury. However, that has never been a hindrance in any other capacity of taking care of someone's dog! Every pet is treated as if it were my own! Dogs always ask, "Is Miss Betty coming today?" You'll see!

Information Betty M. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting for a dog, I would like to know 1) is he/she people friendly? 2) are they dog friendly? 3) are they a "runner" if they should sneak out of the house? 3) any allergies the dog might have, 3) are they restricted to special food or treats?, 4) any medical conditions or medications they are on, 5) Any quirks they may have, such as fear of storms or fireworks or other anxiety based events. I do not have any breed preferences, however, I prefer not to take care of pit bulls or mixes, and rottweilers. Past experiences have shown me that they are unpredictable and I prefer not to take a risk to myself or the dog. My goal is for your dog, and myself, to have the best time and the most fun together!
A typical day
I always make it a point to take a dog on a walk in the places he/she loves and is familiar. with. I find this is the best way to keep them happy, and not frightened by new surroundings. I always carry water and treats with me, so we can stop and have a brief "snack" time. We may even bring a favorite toy along! In home visits always consist of playtime (if the dog is receptive), treats (if allowed) and lots and lots of cuddles! If there is a yard, we will spend time outside playing, or just lounging in the sun!.I always take my cue from the dog itself, as to what he wants to do. After every visit, I always leave a pet diary for the owner, that details my visit and any comments the owner may need to know, like if the pet wasn't feeling well, or seemed "off" for some reason. For me, communication is extremely important.
