When you go out of town, and need someone to “sit” your pets, get a Dog-Granny. I spoil them only a little bit. In my youth, I was a certified scuba-diver. * I have raised and trained 3 children , have a similar philosophy with the Dog Whisperer about pack leadership. * A responsible "house guest": I leave your home as tidy as I found it, only actually doing the (UGH) “house work” I generated. * I bring my own food, and take away my own garbage. * I check the mail, water plants, * I am stable, and set a schedule for your pets as you require.....feeding times, play times, bed time, treats, etc. * I stay at your house – just as if you were there. * I keep a cool head in a crisis: "Calm, Confident, Compassionate". * I drop whatever I am doing to cuddle with your dog whenever it chooses, so it don't get lonely for you. * I feed ‘em, water ‘em, let ‘em out, let ‘em in, play "fetch", squeaky-toy, give "Georgia-dog storm comfort", whatever. * Due to a recent knee injury, I cannot do walkies. * I have been known to teach dogs tricks. * I am available to pet-sit any night of the week, provided you are located in or near Athens, GA. * We can discuss special needs, which may affect pricing: I have given daily meds, even injections (not my favorite), have cleaned up accidents, taken care of emergencies on-the-job, etc. CATS: I will gladly care for cats at no additional charge, provided they do not use a litter box. My rate page inducates a fee if $15/day, which applies ONLY for cats WITH LITTER BOX. Outside/inside cats are welcome, and included in the dog rate. Why I love dog sitting always had a dog when we were kids; then instilled the same love of dogs in my children, who brought home: pedigreed Rottweiler, stray shepard mix, mixed breed terrier-something who grew HUGE. Have learned to train children, which is about the same as training dogs. My own dogs have been well-behaved and not overweight. My experience administering medication Yes, but we might need to adjust daily rate to accommodate tricky meds administration. I have given daily insulin injections, Prozac drops in food, administered crushed pill, supplement capsules, liquids, according to the owner's instructions....."what works best".
