Pet care experience
I have had pets since I was a kid, and have been professionally caring for others since I was in college in 2004. Our home is set up with love, crates, and a good routine to make sure your pup is happy and well cared for while you are away. I am absolutely a "dog person" and part of our reason for pet sitting is to enjoy the companionship of your pups! Our house is set up primarily to house small best friends, and we have one of our own (Ollie our ~4 year old shih tzu/terrier who loves to play and jump). Your little ones will be treated like members of our own pack, complete with 20-30 minute walks around the neighborhood, supervised fenced backyard potty breaks and play time, and hours of floor games and couch cuddle time. We have experience with special needs pets, are comfortable administering medication (orally, injection and subcutaneously), and will not charge you per dose like some of the area kennels! ***Because we have our own pups, we only board dogs who get along with others and always do a meet and greet first to make sure everyone gets along. Feel free to reach out with any questions!*** If your pups do better at home, we are happy to do drop ins 3-4x per day for you, take them for walks, play and cuddle in the comfort of your home. You’ll have the added bonus of someone to bring in the mail, water the plants and make sure everything is okay at home while you’re away. Please note with drop in visits, the times you request may be +/- an hour or two!

Betsy is a wonderful dog sitter. She dropped in to take out our pup Sawyer at lunch, and she took excellent care of him. Made sure he had enough to eat and drink, even cleaning up a little mess! We received lots of pictures and details from Betsy after the visit. Appreciate the time she took to make sure Sawyer got to enjoy the outdoors! We would book with her again.

Betsy was the best dog sitter! This was our first experience leaving our dog with rover and she exceeded expectations - she is so attentive and caring and our pup loved playing with Ollie! They have a big yard and we got tons of photos and videos while we were away. I think KC was sad to leave!! Thanks again Betsy!

I WFH most days, and usually work in what I call “the dog wing” where we have baby gates set up and the dogs can sit near me on the the couch. When we take breaks every couple of hours, the dogs will either get a potty break in the yard or come on a little walk with us. When we go out to meet friends or run errands...buddies can come too! We have a fenced yard (it is fully fenced and will withstand most small dogs, although a larger dog could probably jump over it at the points where it is only about 4' high), and a dog of our own to keep your furbaby company. When we care for your pets at your home, we will follow your instructions and respect your space like it is our own. Feel free to be explicit about what you do and don’t want! We appreciate guidance. We also only watch one family's pets at a time in our home, to avoid any conflicts or issues.

We prefer toy and small breeds since that is what we have and are best equipped to care for! Please let us know right away if your dog has had issues with others (we might not be the best fit), and of any fears, quirks, or special needs we should know about. It is better for you to tell us your dog is an escape artist, for instance, than for us to find out on our own!
A typical day
We usually take the dogs on a loop of our quiet neighborhood, to the neighborhood park, or on walking errands, like to the bakery or the bank. If your dog has some stamina and is very well behaved, we are also part of a dog walking group that does a 3 mile loop of downtown!

Availability
Because we have our own pup, we easily can fit in a morning and evening walk. During the day for drop-ins, I will usually use my lunch break, or drop by before heading to the gym.
