My family got their first dog when I was 5; I started caring for her immediately. I also spent a year during COVID working for a local dog play group company (The Manda Pack LLC). We would go to clients' houses and pick up their dog(s) to bring to the park. The owner of the company trained me to handle dogs of different breeds and temperaments at once and care for them by grooming, performing minor first aid, organizing them and their harnesses in the car, and meditating them during playtime. My first dog died a few weeks ago, for the last few years of her life she had kidney issues and I learned how to administer her medicine and clean up frequent accidents caused by her disease.
