I am off for the summer!
Pet care experience
I am a teacher and will be looking for dogs to go on walks with in the summer! For some background - I grew up with dogs and have been a reoccurring pet sitter for many people. I have even trained a very tricky puppy! Dogs bring me and my family a lot of joy but we’re not quite ready to commit to the full-time thing so I’d love to experience the joy of dogs through the experiences I find on here. Taking care of a dog means to be present and aware to your surroundings in my home and/or the owners. I can speak to something similar as I am also a mother of a 5 year old girl. My experiences with dogs and as a mother have helped me to understand that dogs and children need to stay engaged so they don’t create their own mischief.

I would love to know how they interact with others and children. My daughter will most likely be with me so the dog would need to be suited to be around a 5 year old (who is respectful of dogs).
A typical day
I love to play catch with dogs, run around the backyard with them, and most importantly, take them on walks around the neighborhood or to the river.

Availability
My schedule will be open at the beginning of June, I will be available for dog walks and other needs. Dog sitting will depend on the situation and when. For now, I am available on the weekends.
