Pet care experience

As a devoted and loving pet care duo, my spouse and I share a profound passion for animals that has guided us in providing exceptional pet care services. Together, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in nurturing and tending to a wide variety of beloved pets. We approach each furry friend with genuine affection and unwavering dedication. Our pet care services extend beyond the basics, encompassing personalized attention, engaging exercise routines, nourishing feeding plans, and regular grooming sessions. With a harmonious balance of responsibilities and a shared love for animals, we create a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring the well-being and happiness of every precious pet we have the pleasure of looking after. From administering medications with care to handling any behavioural challenges with patience, we pride ourselves on being attentive, reliable, and trustworthy caregivers. Together, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the pets we care for, forging strong bonds with each one and providing them with all the love and affection they deserve. In addition to our unwavering love and expertise in pet care, we are delighted to offer a unique perk for the furry companions under our watch – a fully fenced-in backyard, providing them with a safe and secure environment for off-leash fun and play. Our backyard serves as an inviting playground, where pets can frolic freely, exploring their natural instincts, and enjoying ample space to run, jump, and chase their tails to their heart's content. With careful attention to detail and safety, we have crafted a pet-friendly oasis, complete with enriching toys and activities that cater to the individual preferences and energy levels of each pet. This dedicated space allows us to engage in interactive games and supervised playtime, fostering not only physical health but also mental stimulation and socialization with other furry friends. Whether it's a spirited game of fetch, a relaxing sunbathing session, or simply the joy of exploring nature's wonders, our fully fenced-in backyard adds an extra dimension of joy to the exceptional pet care experience we provide, ensuring that our beloved four-legged clients feel right at home in our care. Regardless if your pet has an ample amount of energy or is older and prefers to sleep on comfy blankets and watch Netflix, we can accommodate both types of pets and everyone in between!

Our puppy Coco loved her stay with Imran and Bethany. Came home completed tuckered from her fun day of cuddles and play. She'll happily return for another visit :)

I highly recommend Imran and Bethany! I contacted them last minute to take care of our 13 year old dog and they accepted him immediately-we’re so grateful! They sent messages and photos and gave us absolute piece of mind; our old pup isn’t used to staying with others and he took to them immediately. We will definitely request this special family again!

We were fortunate to have Bethany and Imran take care of Lily, and we were very pleased. Knowing she will be so well cared for makes leaving much easier. Photos and updates were sent often so we could see the puppers from a distance. I'm sure Lily enjoyed taking them for walks as well as providing pointers for effective cuddles and napping. We wouldn’t hesitate having Lily look after Bethany and Imran and recommend them with high praise.

Bethany and Imran were fantastic sitters for Buddy while we were visiting PEI! They are wonderful people and took great care of Buddy. Really appreciated their quick communications and thoroughness with instructions. Even provided much appreciated bath services. Would use them again in a heartbeat if we ever return to the island!

Safety, trust & environment

Ensuring the utmost safety of every furry guest is my top priority. I have meticulously dog-proofed my home, eliminating any potential hazards and providing a secure, fully-fenced backyard where dogs can freely explore and play. Building a foundation of trust with both the dogs and their owners is vital to me. I take the time to get to know each dog individually, understanding their unique needs, preferences, and personality traits. Open and transparent communication with pet owners is key, providing regular updates and photos, so they can feel assured that their beloved companion is in capable and caring hands. My house exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere, creating a home away from home for the dogs I sit. Comfortable sleeping arrangements, ample space to play, and engaging toys ensure that each dog feels content and loved during their stay. With safety, trust, and a nurturing environment at the core of my dog-sitting services, I strive to create a memorable and stress-free experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a lasting bond that extends beyond each stay. In addition to safety, trust, and a welcoming environment, I offer the extra special benefit of having a friendly cockapoo to keep your furry baby company during their stay in my house. My own beloved cockapoo is a social and playful companion who loves making new friends. She is well-socialized and enjoys the company of other dogs, providing an ideal playmate and a source of comfort for dogs staying with me. Your furry baby will have the opportunity to engage in interactive play, share cuddles, and enjoy the companionship of a fellow canine, making their time away from home feel like a true doggy vacation. With my cockapoo as a furry companion, your pet will have a built-in playmate, ensuring they stay active, entertained, and feel right at home throughout their stay.

Information Bethany & Imran H. would like to know about your pet

Knowing essential information about a dog ahead of time is crucial for providing the best possible care and ensuring their safety and well-being. Here are some important pieces of information that we would love to know before taking care of a dog: Medical History: Understanding the dog's medical history is vital. This includes information about vaccinations, any ongoing health conditions, medications they are taking, allergies, and past surgeries or medical procedures. This information helps in providing appropriate care and being prepared for any potential health issues that may arise. Behavioural Traits: Learning about the dog's behavioural traits is essential for ensuring their safety and the safety of others. This includes knowing if the dog is friendly and sociable, if they have any anxiety triggers or fears if they are reactive towards certain stimuli, and if they have any specific training cues. Dietary Preferences and Restrictions: Knowing the dog's dietary preferences and any food allergies or restrictions are important for providing appropriate meals and treats. Consistently following their regular diet helps prevent digestive issues and keeps the dog comfortable during their stay. Exercise and Activity Needs: Understanding the dog's energy levels and exercise requirements is crucial. Some dogs need more physical activity and mental stimulation than others, so tailoring their exercise routine accordingly ensures they remain happy and content. Training and Commands: Knowing what commands the dog responds to and understanding their level of training helps in managing their behaviour effectively. This information ensures the caregiver can maintain consistent commands and reinforce positive behaviours. Emergency Contacts and Veterinary Information: Having access to the dog owner's contact information, as well as the contact details of their regular veterinarian or an emergency veterinary clinic, is crucial in case of any unforeseen situations or emergencies. Collar and Identification Tags: It is essential to know if the dog wears a collar with identification tags that include its name and the owner's contact information. This ensures that the dog can be easily identified and returned if they were to get lost. Favourite Toys and Comfort Items: Understanding the dog's favourite toys, comfort items, or specific routines they are used to can help provide a sense of familiarity and comfort during their stay. Socialization Preferences: Knowing how the dog interacts with other animals and humans is important, especially when considering interactions with other dogs or people. Having access to this information ahead of time allows a pet caregiver to create a safe, comfortable, and personalized environment for the dog, ensuring that their needs are met and that they have a positive and enjoyable experience during their time under the caregiver's care.

A typical day

A typical day working from home with dogs is a delightful blend of productivity, companionship, and joyful breaks. Here's how it might unfold: Morning Routine: The day begins with waking up to the enthusiastic greetings of my furry companions. After some cuddles and belly rubs, I get ready for the day while the dogs enjoy their breakfast. Once everyone is fed and ready, we head to my home office space, where they have their designated cozy spots to settle in. Productive Work Hours: As I begin my work tasks, the dogs often find comfort in napping nearby or playing with their toys. Throughout the morning, we take short breaks together, stepping outside for a quick potty break or to stretch our legs. During the warmer months, they have free access to the backyard whenever they want. Midday Playtime: During lunchtime, we enjoy a longer break. I take the dogs for a brisk walk or engage them in an interactive play session to burn off some energy and provide mental stimulation. This break not only benefits them but also helps me recharge and refocus for the afternoon. Afternoon Work Sessions: In the afternoon, the dogs may continue to rest nearby, finding comfort in my presence as I carry on with my work. Occasionally, they might seek some attention, and I'm always happy to take a moment for a quick cuddle or playtime to keep their spirits high. End of Workday: As the workday comes to a close, the dogs sense the change in routine and get excited about our evening activities. We wrap up work, and it's time for another leisurely walk or some playtime in the backyard to unwind together. Evening Relaxation: In the evenings, we wind down with a relaxed atmosphere. The dogs enjoy some quiet time, perhaps chewing on their favourite toys or snuggling up with me as I unwind with a book or watch TV. Quality Time Together: Throughout the day, I make sure to sprinkle quality time with the dogs, giving them the attention, love, and care they deserve. Whether it's a belly rub, a game of fetch, or simply being present, our bond grows stronger with each passing moment. Bedtime: As bedtime approaches, we have one last potty break before settling in for the night. Each dog finds their cozy spot to sleep, and I rest easy, knowing I'll have the privilege of spending another wonderful day with my furry companions tomorrow. Working from home with dogs brings an abundance of joy, companionship, and a sense of purpose. Their presence brightens every moment, making the workday fulfilling and enjoyable, and ensuring that even during busy hours, life is filled with love and laughter.

As dedicated pet caregivers, pet care seamlessly integrates into our daily and weekly routines. Our schedule revolves around the well-being and happiness of the furry companions we look after. Here's how pet care fits into our daily and weekly routines: Morning Routine: Each morning, we begin by tending to the pets' needs. This includes feeding them a nutritious breakfast, providing fresh water, and taking them for a walk or allowing them to play in the backyard for exercise and bathroom breaks. Walking and Exercise: Throughout the week, we maintain a consistent walking and exercise routine for dogs. Regular walks not only provide physical exercise but also offer opportunities for socialization and exposure to different environments. Constant Monitoring: Throughout the day, we stay connected with pet owners and keep them updated on their pets' well-being through messages or photos. Evening Wind-Down: As the day comes to a close, we ensure pets are fed dinner and given enough exercise and attention to tire them out before bedtime. Weekend Adventures: On weekends, we make extra efforts to provide pets with special outings or extended playtime in the backyard. This could include trips to the dog park, hiking trails, or other pet-friendly activities. Flexibility and Adaptability: We understand that each pet has unique needs, so our routine remains flexible to accommodate any specific requirements or unexpected situations that may arise. By seamlessly incorporating pet care into our daily and weekly routines, we ensure that the pets under our care receive consistent attention, love, and care, fostering a nurturing and happy environment for them to thrive in. The beauty of our pet care routine is enhanced by the fact that both my spouse and I work from home, allowing us to be with our furry friends throughout the day. With the convenience of a home office, we can readily attend to their needs, offer companionship, and ensure they never feel alone. This constant presence also allows us to spontaneously engage in playtime or cuddle sessions, making every day full of joy and affection. Furthermore, our location proves to be a pet's paradise, as we have hiking trails conveniently located behind our house. Daily trail walks have become an integral part of our routine, providing pets with the opportunity to explore nature, breathe in the fresh air, and indulge in stimulating sensory experiences. The serenity of the trails combined with the exercise they provide ensures that our beloved companions remain happy, healthy, and content. The abundance of nature and outdoor activities in our daily and weekly schedules reinforces our commitment to providing comprehensive and fulfilling pet care. Our pets are not just pets; they are cherished members of our family, and we prioritize their well-being, happiness, and enrichment in everything we do. Whether it's through our loving attention at home or our adventures on the nearby hiking trails, our devotion to pet care is unwavering, creating a nurturing environment where pets thrive and feel truly loved and appreciated.
