Before deciding to major in middle school education, I had my heart set on becoming a veterinarian. During college I worked at a vet clinic, as well as a hunter/jumper show barn for just shy of 3 years. These opportunities, in addition to my personal experiences, have given me invaluable experience with daily care, routine medical/health care, and first aid/wound treatment for dogs, cats, and horses of all shapes and sizes. I’ve always been an avid animal lover and have taken a special interest in learning more about animal care and behavior. As a teacher, my schedule is a bit more limited during the school year. 7:00-3:00 (our typical school hours) are off limits, but I can stop to walk or visit with your pets on my drive back home most days. The great thing about being a teacher is that during fall break, Christmas break, spring break, summer break, and most weekends I have almost unlimited time to care for your furry family members as if they were my own! My husband and I have no children, but live at home with our 2 dogs, Samson and Cain. They are both friendly, well trained, and very socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes. They have quickly become best buddies with just about every dog (and definitely every human) they’ve ever met, and we have a large, fenced in backyard where they can all run and play.
