I absolutely love dogs and enjoy being around and taking care of animals. I often dogsit for family and friends, and have a long history of cat, dog, and small animal-sitting since I was very young. I think it's important to get to know each animal individually and give them the attention that they need. When a dog stays with me I mainly try to keep them on a schedule, including regular mealtimes and frequent walks. I make sure that dogs have the right amount of exercise, entertainment, and training. I would also take them with me on any nearby hikes or outdoor activities that I am planning on my own. When I am stopping by to check on an animal I will play with them and make sure that we have some time to bond each day (in addition to potty-breaks and exercise).
