Local, loving petcare and training

Pet care experience

Loving and Flexible Pet professional and Animal Behavior College Alumni finding joy in providing the highest quality in-home pet care and training in your local neighborhood. Our pets mean the world to us. They are family. Their unconditional love is a healing energy to us in this busy world. I received a certification in positive dog training through Animal Behavior College in 2006. I have spent many hours volunteering at our local animal shelter as a trainer and working one on one with clients and their pups in the comfort of their own homes. It is a privilege to provide excellent petcare in the way of walking, feeding and playing with your pets. We have a full house in Vernon, NJ with two chocolate labs (Marshall and Lily) and a dachsund mix. We also have two cuddly guinea pigs named Nessy and Sonic. The most critical decision I make when leaving for a trip involves the welfare of my pets and who will be taking care of them. Exceeding your expectations as a confident, reliable, knowledgable and loving petsitter is my promise to you. Having had multiple dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, fish and guinea pigs throughout my life has been a great source of joy and contentment. I am comfortable caring for all pets, large or small. Thank you for the opportunity! -- Beth

My wife and I have used Rover and outside companies to watch our dogs but nobody compares the quality and attention the Beth gives. She goes above and beyond more then any other person we have ever used. Our dogs were in such great hands that there was nothing for us to worry about. If anybody is wondering if they should choose Beth it is a resounding yes! We will be asking Beth for all of our future needs.

My dog LOVES Beth! My dog has extreme anxiety and flips out when anyone comes to my house, but when she sees Beth, she runs to find a stuffed animal and waits at the top of the stairs wagging her tail. Beth handles even the most difficult dogs expertly and I highly recommend her!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is a top priority. As a certified trainer, I will use positive cues to keep walks with your dog safe and engaging. They will remain leashed at all times unless you have a fenced in yard for off-leash playtime. Exercise and fun will create relaxation for your pet while you are away. I will provide many pictures and videos of your pet while you are away and keep you informed on the daily.

Information Beth G. would like to know about your pet

As a trainer, I am skilled at reading body language and cues while out on walks. The safety and well being of your pet is at the heart of my service. A full intake process will occur at our meet and greet. It would be helpful to let me know the things your pet loves and dislikes and how I can make his or her time at home more comfortable. Every pet is different. Any behaviorial issues, food sensitivies, or special instructions can be discussed at that time. I am confident we will create a unique care plan specially designed for your fur baby.

A typical day

My dogs are very active along with my three children. We enjoy hiking all the beautiful spots throughout Sussex County and have many favorite trails. The labs enjoy swimming and fetching here in our lake. A typical visit with your pet would include lots of affection, a walk tailored to the special needs of your dog. After a walk, and if there is a fenced in yard, we would enjoy playtime and some basic training through play. I am skilled in administering medication, including insulin injections for diabetic pets, will provide fresh water, feed according to instructions and make sure your pet is comfortable and playtime/walking has been satisfactory. I will bring special homemade treats to greet and say goodbye to your pet making it a positive experience at your front door.
