I regularly sit dogs that are elderly. Large or small, goofy or serious, mellow or rambunctious, I love them all! Dog sitting is a labor of love, and while we have lots of fun, I take sitting seriously. I recommend a meet-and-greet before a booking, so that you, the owner, can meet me, and I can meet your sweetness. This is about a 20-minute appointment, where I would ask you about walking and feeding schedules, play activities, allergies or medications, and any anxious, aggressive or quirky behaviors your dog may have. Your dog(s) really do miss you when you're gone (even if they normally sleep all day at home!), and my aim is to get a feel for your dog's normal routine so as to make his or her time with me as fun and stress-free as possible. Unfortunately, I do not accept puppies, Pitties or Chows. A Lab/Pyrenees mix (M 6yo, neutered) was surrendered to me last year, whose only "bad" habit is wanting to know humans that come to the door. He does not jump on anyone (and most cats chase *him*). 😅 I also caretake for a wonderful person who adores dogs. He is active himself, but all dogs are my responsibility, except we share the petting!
