I Love Dogs!
Pet care experience
I have lived with a variety of dogs over the last 13 years and have fallen in love with every one of them! I believe in positive, force free training because animals deserve the best care. I really miss having dogs in my life! I love to go on long walks, hangouts in the park, and to explore different neighborhoods. I am more than happy to come to you to make sure your dog is in a familiar and comfortable environment. I do prefer a harness and that the dog to be kept on a shorter leash rather than one that retracts. My reasons are solely in the interest of the pet; a body harness avoids the typical strain on the dog's neck from a collar as well as providing better management while walking. My Instagram account @bethwalksdogs; if given permission, I am happy to include your dog; absolutely no personal info or location tags will ever be posted, only hashtags and your dog's name (if you'd like).
Reviews
Beth was excellent with Lexie during my four nights away. She was excellent with communication and Lexie was clearly so comfy and cozy during her stay.
Beth was lovely with our high energy Sheprador Nikita. Super professional a respectful of our home and our dog's routines.
Beth took care our dog Niki for a few days on February. When we came back home, Niki was happy and calm . Beth was super sweet and professional. We recommend Beth as a pet sitter!

Safety, trust & environment
I am always alert and aware of my surroundings when I am with any animal. My cell phone is away so that your pet has all of my attention. I pay close attention to potential loud noises, people approaching or things that can cause an animal to react our of fear. I take things very slow in order to put your animal at ease when they are in my care.
Information Beth A. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know and understand the comfort levels of each dog that I walk. If there are situations or things that make your dog feel anxious or generally uneasy please let me know and I am happy to find ways to work with you and your dog.
A typical day
Sometimes a walk isn't the only exercise a dog needs. Mental stimulation is just as important to a dogs daily routine as physical exercise. There may be times when it is more beneficial for your dog to sniff and play than get in their steps! I will always have toys and games ready whenever the need strikes. This could mean going to a park and working with a long line (20-30ft), playing close to home or in your yard, or taking a walk at a slower pace.

Availability
I just moved home after 9 years in Toronto to open a small business in downtown Charlottetown. Unfortunately this limits my availability to walk dogs and do dropins to early mornings, and evenings (after 7:30pm).
