Pet care experience
I am a Richmond Public Schools teacher and a musician. A lifelong dog owner, I am the proud mama to rescue pup Bo. Because I’m on summer vacation, I have loads of availability to care for your pupper, with a focus on day care and boarding in my home. I just moved to a large, clean, four bedroom home near Westover Hills Elementary, Redd, Lucille Brown, Chippenham Hospital with a large front and backyard for safe, frequent potty breaks. We are close to a couple of dogparks, including Barker Field, and we are within a few miles of the VMFA, with plenty of green spaces to walk and relax in the fresh air. If you like, I’m happy to take your dog to Barker Field, where I will monitor your baby closely for safety. My vet is River City, and I always keep the address and # of the local emergency vet on hand.
Reviews
Beth did an amazing job! She gave regular updates and sent photos consistently. Violet obviously got wonderful care. I'm so happy we made this choice!
Beth clearly connected with Lula! She sent sweet photos that helped reassure me that my kittycat was in good hands and getting loving attention and plenty of skritch-scratches.
This was our first time leaving our 15 month old, often clingy Cavapoo with a dog sitter overnight. Beth took magnificent care of our dog providing care, attention, many walks and trips to the dog parks, and companionship with her own older dog. Reina returned to us after five days with Beth looking happy, well and suitably tired, but was sad to see Beth depart. Beth also kept us posted what was going on every day which we appreciated greatly. Beth knows dogs and knows how to make sure they feel safe and secure, which was everting for us. We recommend her extremely highly and look forward to using her again next time we have to be away for a few days.
Just wanted to thank Beth for caring for my puppy Coco. We met Beth prior to her keeping Coco overnight which I thought was great. Coco has never been overnight with anyone since I got her and during our meet and greet, I knew Coco would be in good hands. Beth kept me updated on what Coco was doing throughout the day and even the morning prior to picking her up. She kept Coco active by taking her on multiple walks and even taking her to the dog park. I would definitely recommend Beth to my friends that have pets. Thanks again Beth and we will see you soon.

I love ALL dogs and will treat your baby like my own. Dogs are precious to me. We will walk around the grounds of the VMFA and hang out on the grass, soaking up sunshine. We may visit Barker Field dog park (if you want us to), or walk around Fountain Lake. Later, we’ll cuddle on the couch, and, of course, all dogs are welcome on the bed(s) at night! Dogs will have to endure my non-stop loving, cuddling, and affection. If your dog prefers to sleep alone, I’ve got FOUR bedrooms with lots of comfy hiding places and multiple dog beds scattered throughout my home. Although my 1/4 acre yard is not yet fenced in, your dog will enjoy hanging out with me and Bo on a blanket in the backyard (while on a leash, of course), sniffing all the new plants, and walking in our friendly, safe neighborhood. I also have a makeshift enclosure in my large front yard that will keep a small dog in - always supervised to stop escapes!

Information Beth A. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog needs any special medication. I can administer oral medication but don’t have experience injecting. I have no breed preference, but am only accepting small and medium dogs at this time. NOTE: If your dog is aggressive to other dogs, please be transparent about that. I can keep your dog and mine well separated within my large house, if that is acceptable to you. I have two separate floors separated by a closing door, so if your dog is not good with other dogs, one dog could stay upstairs and another could stay downstairs. Your dog would be safe and well cared for in a very clean, homey environment, but they would not be mingling with my dog and they would have to sleep alone in their own room.

Availability
I am a teacher, so I am away from the house for the workday, but I come home immediately and spend the rest of the afternoon/evening playing with my dog, cuddling, doing household chores, and playing in the yard. Although my yard is not yet fenced in (working on it), I do have a makeshift enclosure that will keep small dogs in. While my own dog and guest dogs play in this enclosure, I don’t let them out of my sight.
