Bernardo, or Bernie as he goes by, was simply outstanding! I am new to town and needed to leave for four days last month. My Yellow Lab, Ripley, is so sweet but almost 14 years old and she requires a significant amount of care. I must have contacted five pet sitters and none could accommodate me for four visits daily for four days so I started to panic. Then I reached out to Bernie, and I knew he was a good fit almost immediately. He got right back to me which was never the case previously, and agreed to meet with me in less than two hours. After spending an hour trying to get Ripley's routine of special diet, medications, use a towel to support her hind legs and copious use of puppy pads among other things, he offered to come back at dinner time to go through it again just to make sure that he had everything down pat. That type of commitment to excellence is rare in almost any field, but much appreciated when I am weighing just who can I trust with my beloved companion of almost 14 years. I could tell during his interactions with Ripley during his two preparatory visits that his temperament and respect for her was sincere and genuine, and that put me so at ease about leaving her in his care. He came out to the apartment four times a day and even brought some of his work with him to spend additional time keeping Ripley company. He always managed to send a couple of photos a day and I could tell easily how well Ripley was doing by her facial expressions, and she did positively awesome! If you are reading this because you are desperately, as I was, or carefully, considering who to trust your loyal companion with during your absence, I say without equivocation, that you will not do better than Bernie. He is reliable, humble, and possesses a true love for animals. You will not be disappointed.
