Benjamin and Jaime did an absolutely wonderful job at caring for our two dogs while I was away. I could tell from the adorable photos that both our dogs were totally comfortable and happy spending time with them. The communication was superb and we will definitely be using Benjamin and Jaime again!

Benjamin was great! Fed my gecko while I was away on vacation. He followed all directions and communicated well. Also kept me up to date when he planned on feeding him.

Ben is really great with Tito! I was away and he always sent lots of pictures and let me know what was going on. I came home to everything in my house as it was when I left and Tito was nice and tired- he probably got more outdoor time with Ben than me! He obviously really loves dogs and cares for them as he does his own!!

Ben was great - very calm & kind with my rambunctious 11 month old lab, Skye. He took Skye for a nice, long walk and she came home nice & tired!

Information Benjamin R. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for a pet, it's essential to gather important information to ensure their well-being and comfort. Here are some key details to know: 1. Dietary Needs: Understand their feeding schedule, preferred food, any allergies, and how much they should be fed at each meal. 2. Medications: If the pet requires medication, know the type, dosage, and schedule for administering it. 3. Behavioral Traits: Learn about their personality, including any likes, dislikes, and any signs of stress or anxiety. This helps tailor interactions to their comfort level. 4. Exercise Requirements: Know their activity level and preferred types of exercise. Some dogs may need vigorous walks or hikes, while others may prefer more relaxed strolls or indoor play. 5. Training Commands: Familiarize yourself with any specific commands or cues the pet responds to, ensuring consistent communication. 6. Socialization Preferences: Understand how they interact with other pets and people. Some may be friendly and outgoing, while others may be shy or reserved. 7. Health History: Be aware of any previous health issues or concerns, as well as recent vet visits or vaccinations. 8. Comfort Items: Know if they have favorite toys, blankets, or other items that help them feel secure and happy. 9. Routine: Understand their daily routine, including walking times, play sessions, and bedtime habits, to maintain consistency. 10. Emergency Contacts: Have the owner's contact information, along with their vet’s information, in case of emergencies. Gathering this information ensures that pets receive the best care possible and helps them feel comfortable and secure during their time away from their owners.

A typical day

A typical day with the pets I watch starts with a warm greeting and some quality cuddle time to help them feel loved and secure. Here’s how the day usually unfolds: Morning Routine: After breakfast, we’ll head out for a refreshing walk to kickstart the day. For adventurous dogs, we might go on a fun hike or explore nearby trails, allowing them to stretch their legs and enjoy the sights and smells of nature. Midday Fun: After our morning adventures, it’s time for some play! Whether it’s fetching a ball in the backyard or playing with their favorite toys indoors, I ensure they have a chance to burn off some energy. I also take breaks for plenty of water and affection, making sure they feel loved throughout the day. Afternoon Adventures: Depending on the pet's energy level and training, we can continue with more outdoor activities, like skijoring for trained dogs during the winter months or more leisurely strolls for those who prefer a slower pace. Evening Wind Down: As the day winds down, I’ll prepare dinner and spend time relaxing together. This is a great opportunity for some gentle brushing or quiet snuggle time while watching TV or reading. Bedtime Routine: Before settling in for the night, I’ll take them out one last time for a bathroom break and ensure they’re comfortable and cozy in their sleeping area. Throughout the day, I prioritize fun, engagement, and affection to ensure the pets I care for feel happy, safe, and well-loved!
