Pet care experience
I grew up taking care of a miniature schnauzer and I fell in love with dogs after that. Caring for my blind and deaf dog for several years made me understand what a dog needs to be happy. The hours cleaning her eyes and ears and the guided walking were worth her love and dedication to our family. My favorite part about visiting my parents now is taking care of their dog, Buddy. I would have my own dog if I could but I am often traveling. Please consider hiring me to take care of your pooch! I will do a great job because I'm in it because I love dogs and miss having one to take care of. I will be sure to care for your pet like it was my own child, taking it to San Bruno for hikes along the nature trail. I will also walk your pup at Thornton State Beach. I will be sure to give your pooch the finest treatment and make sure they get plenty of play time when I get home from work at 5. I will also walk them every morning and make sure they get enough to eat and drink. I have a large room that is very comfortable and I will hang out with your dog every night. After all, that is why I want to join Rover, to have your wonderful pet be a part of my life. If your pet has any special needs, I am happy to accommodate requests, please just let me know. I only received updates about my dog when asked and she also came back to me with some of her training undid. My dog is dog reactive and is uncomfortable when she is close to other dogs. I've trained her to focus on her walker whenever she sees another dog instead of reacting and also put this in my care instructions. It seems like Benjamin let her too close to other dogs during her stay, as she now reacts when she sees another dog at a distance she was comfortable with before the stay.
Benjamin and his room mate were very nice when I met them. Their house is picked up to the point where you worry how your dog might fit in. Benjamin and his room mate allowed me to meet them first before leaving my dog with them. You must realize they both work all day, so your dog is alone .. all day. This might not be the best for some dogs. Sadly, only after asking pointedly, I got a photo of my dog on the sidewalk and one of him eating (with no water tower that I left him in sight) during the 7 days I was gone. But that's just my neurotism. My dog came home rather different, remote, extremely thirsty and afraid of bathrooms. I would leave my dog with Benjamin again but I would probably ask for more photos, and ask what he and his room mate does with my dog when they are at work. Nice people though.
Awesome Sitter. Kylie really enjoyed her stay and Ben was very accommodating and flexible due to flight changes. Highly recommended!
Benjamin is a genuine, amazing, and trustworthy person. I've had the pleasure of knowing Ben for years, and have seen his treatment of others as well as dog-friends firsthand. He will treat your pup like he treats every human being, with kindness and respect. Ben is also one of the most responsible and communicative people I know. He is a person of his word that you can trust with your favorite furry friends!
