Pet care experience
I’ve had cats since I was very young, and more recently my husband and I got a dog as well. We did all of his training ourselves, from housebreaking to teaching him the many tricks he knows: Sit, Down, Through, Spin, Rollover, Up, Fist Bump, High Five, and more. In another life, I would have been a veterinarian, but I couldn’t handle the EOL of that as a career, and so I have opted to - for now at least - stick to showering both mine and others’ pets with love as a suitable alternative :) If you’ve got a younger pup you need watched and you’d like them to learn some tricks, I’m happy to help in that area as well!
Reviews
Benjamin was punctual and thoughtful. My kitties love him and I am definitely hiring him again in yhe future!
Ben has taken care of my dogs multiple times over the last couple of years, and has been exceptional every time. He has a lot of experience taking care of multiple dogs at the same time between my dogs and his, and always is really dedicated to making sure all of the dogs needs are met. I wouldn't trust anyone to take care of my animals more than him.

Safety, trust & environment
Pet safety and trust is obviously the most important aspect of letting anyone care for your pets. They are family, and I take that idea to heart. Having needed my own pets looked after occasionally when I’ve left town, I know how much anxiety that can create for folks needing the same services. What I can tell you with absolute certainty is that your pets are safe with me. I am nothing if not empathetic, and if given the opportunity I will go out of my way to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible while away. I will take notes if/when we meet, and ask questions to ensure that I understand the ways you’d like your animals cared for.
Information Benjamin C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any triggers, is timid, etc. I am quite good at noting signs of discomfort or anxiety from pets, and I’d never want to unintentionally trigger those emotions for any animal. Beyond that, every animal reacts differently when they feel that way, and the last thing I would ever want is for anyone to get hurt as a result of misunderstood signals!
A typical day
With my cats, I keep them engaged with toys and puzzles for treats. My doggo gets at least two long (2+ mile) walks per day, in addition to puzzles for mental stimulation on days with poor weather. We play outside in our fenced in yard a few times a day as well, to help him burn off extra energy.

Availability
I left my career in tech and product management late in 2023, with the intention of finding work that would allow me to better help my local community and to help me get out from behind a desk! My schedule is very flexible as a result; if you need someone to check in on your fur babies, I’d be happy to be that someone!
