13 years working for Fairfax County Government in Parks & Rec, I’m both active at work and in my community. Once a month we bring dogs into our community center for pet therapy for our community members. My wife and daughter and I occasionally foster for a local rescue and our most recent dog, Mamacita, is our former foster! My first dog I rescued with my now wife. We were dating at the time and found him in a rural shelter. He was a beautiful 100lb Argentinian Mastiff, a sweet gentle giant and we bonded immediately. My wife tells me I’m a natural with dogs. They seem to take my lead. We volunteer at dog adoption events for a local rescue and I tend to handle the more challenging dogs due to my skills. This part time endeavor is to support my family and our goals. I am a family man who loves animals and look forward to helping you with your fur family needs. My hours vary depending on community events but I am usually available most mornings, early afternoons, and later in the evenings after work. I look forward to caring for your fur babies when in need! Skills - * Experience with puppies and older dogs. * Experience smaller and larger dogs. * Experience administering oral and topical medications. * Physically capable of going on longer walks, multiple times a day. * Physically capable of handling bigger dogs on walks. * Attention to detail, schedule following, clean, punctual. * Will provide photos and detailed descriptions of visits.
