Hello! I am a student at the University of Delaware, majoring in criminal justice. I have spent my entire life around dogs. Growing up we always had a “fur baby” in the house. Now, that number has grown to 3; Leo, Chester and Dexter. They are all Hungarian Vizslas and are extremely friendly. They get along well with other dogs, people and children. Our dogs live like kings-they have (almost) complete freedom in our house day and night. Our 1.75 acre yard is fenced in with radio fence and they have a “dog door” to come and go as they please (this can easily be closed and/or they can be separated to this area of the house if your dog is not familiar with this type of freedom.) We live in a large neighborhood with plenty of space for walks (they go almost everyday). There is very little traffic and the roads are surrounded by grass and woodlands

Things that I will need to know in order to best care for your pup 1.) Temperament. Some examples could be: how do they handle being leashed, encountering other dogs, encountering new humans, can those new humans pet them (including children) can they tolerate being around children. 2.) Physical ailments or disabilities. Some examples could be; do they get car sick, have a hard time seeing or hearing, have dietary limitations or restrictions. 3.) Medications or special diet. Are treats ok? Any preffrance for type of toy (your pup will not share his or her toy with other pups) 4.) Do they have any specific routines/times of day that they are accustomed to doing things like walking or being fed?
A typical day
My favorite place to visit with dogs is Fair-Hill Nature Preserve in Elkton MD. There are many different trails and areas for curious noses to explore.
