I really didn't want to leave a bad review but at this point I feel like I should. We've had Ben stay with our dog several times before and everything was good! At least I thought it was- I never got any negative feedback. This past booking, he just didn't show up, even after I messaged him earlier in the week as a reminder, and letting him know what time we were leaving and returning the following day. He acknowledged and said he was looking forward to it. We got home from our night away, and it was apparent he hadn't been there. Our dog was left for 24 hours all alone. She missed 2 meals, her medication, and wasn't let out. I messaged him and he did reply, apologized and offered a refund. I thought I was reasonable and understanding. Hey, mistakes happen. Who knows, maybe he has family/life/work issues going on. I just said that moving forward I'd like to know when he gets there, and when he leaves at the end of the visit. Honestly, that should be standard anyway. I got no reply. I waited a few days, got the refund. Messaged again thanking him and asked if he'd be interested in sitting for us again sometime. Totally ghosted me. I don't know if he doesn't like us, our dog, our house? No clue. Sorry for the bad review, Ben. I'm just looking for honesty and reliability.

Ben was a great sitter! He checked on my dog and cat as requested, and sent photos each day. He was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. My pets seemed happy and healthy upon my return. I would definitely recommend Ben!
