Pet care experience
I’ve loved dogs my whole life and although I didn’t grow up with a family pet, I spent as much time as I could with friend’s dogs, walking neighbors dogs etc. I’ve had my current dog, Byrd since 7.5 weeks and he is 2 years old now. While raising him I completed an online class on positive reinforcement dog obedience training. When I first moved to Missouri my brother’s family stayed with me including his two dogs Maverick and Mia. They still come over for play dates and have sleep overs when someone has to leave town. I love everything about dogs; playing, walking, feeding, bathing. Maybe not picking up poop but a small price to pay for our 4 legged family.

I have a large fenced backyard for the dogs to run, sniff and play. The dogs are allowed on furniture. I have two spare bedrooms, plenty of space so a kennel will not be necessary.

Let me know how many times to feed them and if they have any kind of specialized diet. Also let me know their energy level/daily habits. My dog loves to play but can encourage a dog who is older or pretty lazy to go a bit beyond their limits sometimes.
A typical day
I get up an hour before I leave for work, let the dogs out to play for a bit and feed everyone who eats breakfast. I’m back for lunch around 11am-12pm for some fetch and a treat. Then home around 2pm for a walk around the neighborhood. For the rest of the day the dogs will play in the backyard and get back and booty scratches from me. The dogs are allowed to sleep with me, on the couch, in their bed, typically they choose each other to sleep on.

Availability
I’ve started a new job this summer that does require me to be away from the home from 7am-roughly 2pm. Sometimes I can be home as early noon, in rare instances I may be out until as late as 3:30pm. I work a route based job that allows me to stop home for lunch and let everyone out to potty and get some jerky. My weekly schedule is Monday-Friday with many Friday’s off. From October to April we are not in season and I work a very limited schedule.
