Hi! My name is Belen, and I am an experienced dog walker/sitter based in Logan Circle. I have a flexible work schedule which allows me to provide love, care, walks, and playtime to pups. My husband Jaime loves dogs too, and is available to help out if I’m not around. Jaime and I own a small pug named Pika who is disabled, so we know firsthand that all dogs are special and have their own unique needs. We will make sure your pets have access to fresh, clean water at all times. We can keep to regular feeding times, administer any relevant medications, and follow any other instructions you may have to ensure their well being while you are away. I like to send “pupdates” and photos of your pup so you can see what they’ve been up to! We have a multilevel home so it’s entirely possible for your pup to be on a different floor than mine if that is preferred. I require a brief 15 minute meet and greet in advance of first-time bookings so that we can connect, learn more about your pup, make sure it’s a good fit and answer any questions you may have.

We loved leaving Killa with Belen! She had a wonderful time and warmed up to Belen immediately. We got daily pictures of her and were certain our dog was happy and calm. Will definitely ask Belen to dogsit for us again and would recommend her to anyone looking for dog boarding!!

I like to learn what schedule a pet normally has and do my best to replicate it (when they normally eat, go outside, etc) per your instructions. I like to implement daily play time, snuggles, belly rubs, and walks if that is suitable for the pup, and am happy to provide baths using organic, gentle dog shampoos I use for my own dog (or using materials you bring that they normally use) upon request.

A typical day
Depends on the dog! If they are high energy I’m down to walk/jog with them in the park, play tug of war, set up cognitive exercise games, puzzles, kongs and other activities to keep things interesting. If they are more low energy I’m down to snuggle and make sure they are cozy and have whatever they need.
