I have trained dogs on and off for years. When I earned my BFA and we learned how to effectively teach children, one of our manuals (and my favorite one) was a dog training book. Later in life I read Caesar Milan's books and applied his principles to help me rehabilitate some rather unruly pups for some private clients. Me and dogs speak the same love language and many of my friends have joked that they want to come back next life as my dog. It isn't normal to admit, but most 'dog people' totally get the sentiment that I like furry friends better than people most days! I usually pair some other service with walking the pups, like light cleaning, laundry, dishes, meal prep, etc. and we can discuss that in person. For extended stays, I am happy to offer a discount for longer durations and depending on the specific dog, s/he may be able to stay at my home with me while you are gone. I am flexible but do have a few other responsibilities that I need to keep a tidy schedule for, so communication is key for me.
