I have been a dog lover practically since birth. I grew up with a sweet basset hound, Ernie. Then when I moved to Atlanta to be with my husband, I got to watch his labrador retriever, Nixon, grow from a 6 month old puppy to the 12 year old dog that my kids loved as much as we did. We then decided to go through a rescue program (Adopt a Golden), where we got our first golden retriever, Dexter. After a few years with just him, we decided to get him another golden companion, Max, through another rescue program (Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta). We recently had to put down Dexter after 15 years, but Max is still as energetic as ever. I love dogs, and I hope I get to meet some of yours!
