Vet-tech, I love cats!
Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for friends and family for years. I am a huge lover of all kinds of animals and even have experience pet sitting for chickens and ducks! I have had dogs in the family my entire life and cats since I was 5. I have also been fostering cats for the last 8 years and am knowledgeable on how to calm stressed cats (as they often are when their people are gone). I walked dogs at the humane society for nearly two years in high school so, I know how to handle dogs on a leash in stimulating environments. Typically when I pet sit for people, I drop by once in the morning on my way to work (around 7:00am) and then again when I get off of work (around 6:30pm). I am a veterinary technician and I am comfortable administering medications, and insulin. I can also do nail trims on cooperative animals for an additional $10.

I have a fenced yard for pups to run around in. I have a separate area of my home that I will keep pet-sitting pets in so that there is no concern of scuffles between your pets and mine. My animals are all other animal friendly though so, if an interaction were to happen, there is little to no risk of injury.

Information Becky C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know general personality of your pets before I sit for them. I would like to know their vaccine history and request that they’re up to date on their vaccines. I have no breed preferences but, I do prefer smaller dogs (25lbs or less) and cats. If possible, I would like to meet any animals prior to sitting for them, especially if your pet requires medications.
A typical day
A typical week day will involve me waking up early for work, taking your pup out to potty and giving any meds if they require them. I will then feed and make sure water is full before leaving for work. When I get home in the evenings, I will take your pup out first thing and, based on your directions, I will feed again and ensure clean water is available. I will then hang out with the pups for a few hours until time for meds and going to bed. Cats, I will have a similar routine but, will scoop the litter box rather than take them outside.

Pet care is my life. I work with animals, I live with animals, and I volunteer with animals. I am very comfortable and knowledgeable about animal care and will make sure your pet feels safe and secure while you are away! Three of my personal pets are on daily medications so, if your pet requires any medication, it will not be anything new to my schedule, I will simply add them to the list!
