Pet care experience
I've been taking care of animals for what seems like all of my life. Growing up on a farm, nearly every day of my life has revolves around taking care of dogs and cats (and horses… and chickens). My current job leaves me with blocks of free time throughout the day, so I’d love to use that free time to help people in my community to take care of their animals. Besides just loving animals, I also have years of experience giving various medications, and am vigilant about sticking to a routine that works for the dog. One of my dogs, Dave, is a senior with a seizure condition that requires him to get different pills twice a day everyday, as well as additional medication following seizures. Managing this, as well as the daily care of each and every one of my animals, is not only a skill of mine, but a pleasure.

Becca is definitely a dog sitter you want to use! She is great with dogs and even cats. Sometimes I think my cat loves her more than she loves me! She can take care of one dog or five, and make sure each of them gets the love that they deserve. She is responsible and as a pet sitter myself and a veterinary student, I would recommend Becca for your next trip!

In my own home, I have a cat who is notorious for sneaking out when possible (she can even open sliding doors) and a dog who tries to turn doorknobs. I am a stickler for making sure all possible escapes are locked or blocked, and I always triple check that nothing is on the counters or available to the animals that might harm them.
Information Becca V. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting a dog, I'd like to know their normal activity levels. For example, if there is a dog who needs lots of exercise, I'd be more than happy taking them on some local trails to go for a run, while I'd be just as content to stay in the backyard or living room and play with a more laid-back dog.
A typical day
Depending on the location, I can take the dog for walks around the neighborhood, to the park, or to hit the trails. Playing with the dogs inside and out, with whatever toys are available, is always an option as well

My schedule changes often, so I may not be a good fit for a long-term arrangement, but if you are looking for someone because you got stuck working late or can’t come home to let your dog out on your lunch break like usual - I might be exactly what you need that day!
